Muscat: The Supreme Judicial Council’s Steering Committee tasked with overseeing an advisory study on digital transition today held a meeting with “Alam”, the Saudi company that implements the Council's digital transition project.
The meeting was attended by Issa Hamad Al Azri, Secretary General of the Supreme Judicial Council.
The meeting discussed salient features of the project and its envisaged accomplishments. It looked into the progress made in the project and related consultative tasks that included studying the project’s infrastructure, programmes and electronic services.
The meeting highlighted the judicial platform’s unified portal, which boasts a range of advanced tools for the management of cases, the improvement of judicial procedures and citizens' access to judicial services.
Various recommendations were made about the possibility of adapting systems so that they could meet the needs of the Supreme Judicial Council.
The meeting laid emphasis on the importance of following up steps to build a comprehensive database, local training to ensure the realization of the desired goals of the electronic transition project and other means of upgrading the efficiency of judicial action.
