Emirates to launch shortest Airbus A380 flight to Muscat

Muscat: The world’s shortest flight on the gigantic double-decker Emirates Airbus A380 will be operating from Muscat International Airport starting from today.
The airline is doubling the number of daily A380 flights to and from Muscat.
The first will be operated between Muscat and Dubai.
Muscat International Airport’s family have demonstrated a thorough and seamless capacity to handle the large number of passengers arriving on the giant aircraft, and Muscat International Airport has been equipped with multi-level bridges designed for this purpose.
The Muscat Airport runway, at 4km long and 75 m wide, has been built to accommodate these giant aircraft.
Furthermore, the airport provides ample corridors and private halls to cater for the needs of the largest jets with such high passenger capacity.
