Trough to affect Oman’s weather in coming days

Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman is expected to experience a period of unsettled weather due to a trough of low pressure affecting the region from Tuesday, December 24, to Thursday, December 26, 2024.

According to Oman Meteorology, cloud formation and scattered rainfall of varying intensity are anticipated over several governorates, including Musandam, North Al Batinah, South Al Batinah, Muscat, and South Al Sharqiyah.

Daily Forecast:

Tuesday & Wednesday (December 24-25): Clouds and isolated rainfall (5-15 mm) are expected over Musandam, North Al Batinah, South Al Batinah, Muscat, and parts of Al Dakhiliyah Governorate. Winds will blow at speeds of 10-20 knots.

Thursday (December 26): Cloud formation with isolated rainfall of varying intensity (5-15 mm) is forecast for Musandam, North Al Batinah, South Al Batinah, Muscat, South Al Sharqiyah, parts of Al Dakhiliyah Governorate, and parts of the Al Hajar Mountains. Winds will also blow at speeds of 10-20 knots.
