Muscat: HH Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers, today received President Aleksandr Lukashenko of the Republic of Belarus at the Council of Ministers headquarters in Muscat.
HH Sayyid Fahd welcomed the President and his accompanying delegation, hoping that relations between the two countries would continue to grow and flourish.
HH Sayyid Fahd valued the positive outcome of the President’s official visit to the Sultanate of Oman. He expressed his appreciation for the harmonic convergence of visions between Oman and Belarus in their drive to serve the interests of the two friendly peoples.
For his part, President Lukashenko commended the outcome of the official talks he held with His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, noting that the talks consolidated relations between the two friendly countries. He expressed his admiration for the accomplishments made by Oman. He voiced his country’s appreciation for the Sultanate of Oman's prudent policy on domestic and foreign fronts.
The meeting discussed means of activating bilateral cooperation, exchanging expertise and supporting the role of the private sector in developing joint investments in the two friendly countries.
The meeting also touched on current issues and developments on the regional and international arenas, as well as efforts to establish peace and stability, to furnish better grounds of prosperity for all peoples.
The meeting was attended by Omani ministers and government officials and members of the official delegation accompanying President Lukashenko.
