Muscat: The Environment Authority is organising a two-day symposium on radiation monitoring in the environment. The symposium, held in Muscat, seeks to support efforts to protect human health against radiation hazards, endorse the best practices on addressing the rapid pace of environmental challenges and enhance awareness among various segments of society.
The symposium began today under the auspices of Brigadier Eng. Ali Saif Al Muqbali, Chairman of the Authority for Civil Defence and Ambulance (ACDA). It seeks to foster cooperation and exchange of knowledge among experts and specialists in manner that contributes to the development of policies and standards on environment monitoring and radiation control.
Many researchers, specialists and decision makers are taking part in the symposium.
