Muscat: The 11th edition of Oman's National Research Award has garnered significant interest, with 274 participants vying for recognition. This year's competition includes 167 PhD holders and 107 emerging researchers.

The Ministry of Higher Education, Research, and Innovation will announce the winners at the annual Researchers' Forum on Monday, December 9, 2024, at the Oman Across Ages Museum.

Research Sectors: Education and Human Resources, Information and Communication Systems, Health and Community Service, Energy and Industry, Culture and Basic and Social Sciences, and Environment and Biological Resources.

The annual Researchers' Forum provides a valuable platform for researchers to:

Stay updated on the latest research trends.

Exchange knowledge and experiences.

Propose new research projects.

Showcase their research activities.

Key Activities at the Forum:

Signing of Research Contracts: The forum will witness the signing of research contracts for the Strategic Research Projects Program and the Performance-Based Institutional Funding Program.

Workshops: Two workshops will focus on the role of institutions in supporting innovation and entrepreneurship, and the journey of an innovator from idea to implementation.

Exhibition: An exhibition will showcase winning research projects and innovative projects from various researchers.
