Muscat: His Highness Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Cabinet Affairs, has arrived in Kuwait to lead the Sultanate of Oman’s delegation at the 45th Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Summit.
His Highness Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Emir of Kuwait, personally welcomed Sayyid Fahd upon his arrival at Kuwait’s Amiri Airport.
In a statement upon his arrival, Sayyid Fahd conveyed the greetings of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik to the leaders of GCC member states. He extended best wishes to Kuwait’s leadership and people for continued progress and prosperity, expressing hopes for the summit’s success in achieving its objectives.
Sayyid Fahd reiterated Oman’s unwavering support for the GCC, commending Kuwait’s efforts in advancing the council’s mission. He expressed hopes for ongoing progress and development across all member states.
Reflecting on the GCC’s legacy, he said, “Since its establishment, the Cooperation Council has achieved significant accomplishments across economic, social, legislative, and scientific fields. It is essential to strengthen these gains and foster further cooperation and integration among the Gulf peoples, who share a rich common history.”
