Oman participates in meeting of GCC Joint Defence Council in Qatar

Doha: The Sultanate of Oman took part on Tuesday in activities of the 21st session of the GCC Joint Defence Council, held in the State of Qatar.

Oman’s delegation was headed by HH Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs.

The meeting discussed a spectrum of topics on the agenda of the 21st session which were submitted by the Supreme Military Committee of GCC Chiefs of Staff. It also highlighted several achievements and outcomes in the joint military fields.

Moreover, the meeting reviewed several military matters of mutual interest in a bid to boost the march of military cooperation.

During the meeting, HH Sayyid Shihab was accompanied by Vice Admiral Abdullah Khamis Al Raisi, Chief of Staff of the Sultan’s Armed Forces and several SAF senior officers.
