Oman weather: Wilayats receive moderate rainfall, wadis overflow

Muscat: Wadis overflowed after prolonged rain showers in various areas, weather watchers said.
A number of areas in the wilayats of Nizwa, Al Hamra, Bahla, Adam, Izki, Sumail, Ibra, Al Mudhaibi, Dima Wal Taein, Ibri, Dhank, Yanqul, Al Buraimi and Al Khaboura reported moderate to heavy rains leading to the overflow of wadis.
Light to moderate rains were also reported in the areas of Al Muda, Tanuf and Kama in the wilayat of Nizwa in the Governorate of Al Dakhiliyah.
Moderate rains were also reported in Niyabat of Al Jabal Al Akhdar, Al Rous and Wadi bani Habib. Light rains were reported in the wilayat of Bahla at Jamah and Al Ghafat areas in Qarout, Qarn Qattar, Qala’at and Al Awamir in the wilayat of Izki. Al Aqaidi, Al Sijani and Al Afia areas recorded heavy rains which led to the overflow of wadis.
Moderate rains were recorded in Al Haima, Al Yahmadi, Al Qa’a and Al Shabihat in the wilayat of Ibra of North Al Sharqiyah Governorate. Moderate rains were also seen in the wilayat of Al Mudhaibi at Al Jamal, Masroun and Al Kuhla areas, Al Hayal, Al Araqi, Al Dariz, Al Ainain, Al Salif , Maskan And Al Mahyoul in the wilayat of Ibri of Al Dhahirah Governorate.
Moderate rains were also recorded at Al Rowdha in the wilayat of Al Buraimi. Light to moderate rains were also reported at Sham, Al Khad and Halahil in the wilayat of Sohar of North Al Batinah Governorate and at Al Ghaizain in the wilayat of Al Khaboura.
