Muscat: His Excellency Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, met today with His Excellency Sheikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain, on the sidelines of the joint Arab-Islamic Summit in the Saudi capital, Riyadh.
The meeting discussed bilateral relations between the Sultanate of Oman and the Kingdom of Bahrain, ways to enhance joint cooperation between the two brotherly countries in various fields, and stressed the importance of strengthening strategic partnerships to achieve common interests and support integration between the two countries.
The two sides also discussed a number of current regional and international issues, stressing the need to continue working diligently to enhance joint Arab and Islamic cooperation to confront escalating challenges, and support all efforts to achieve just and comprehensive peace in the region.
The meeting was attended by His Highness Sayyid Faisal bin Turki Al Said, Ambassador of Oman to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Permanent Representative of the Sultanate to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, His Excellency Ambassador Abdullah bin Nasser Al Rahbi, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman accredited to the Arab Republic of Egypt and its Permanent Representative to the League of Arab States, Ambassador Sheikh Faisal bin Omar Al Marhoon, Head of the Arab Department, and a number of officials from both sides.
