Muscat: The Public Authority for Special Economic Zones and Free Zones Opaz organized a dialogue session titled 'Protection of Intellectual Property Rights', addressing various topics related to technology and innovation and their crucial role in supporting the national economy.
The 56th dialogue session was presented by Abdul Moneim Khogali, an adviser in the office of the Deputy Chairman of the Opaz. He explored different concepts related to intellectual property, emphasizing the importance of equipping the workforce with a deep understanding of these concepts and the international factors associated with them. There was also a focus on investing in knowledge and training as a means to prepare a generation capable of facing diverse challenges.
During the session, the role of international agreements in regulating intellectual property and protecting inventions and creative ideas was highlighted, which enhances the ability of entrepreneurs and innovators to develop their projects and increase their market value, thereby accelerating the pace of innovation.
The session also addressed the vision of maintaining intellectual property to promote innovation as one of the fundamental pillars of growth, with a particular emphasis on artificial intelligence as one of the prominent areas of innovation related to intellectual property concepts.
Through organising these dialogue sessions, the Public Authority for Special Economic Zones and Free Zones Opaz aims to enrich the workforce and interested parties with knowledge and enhance awareness of concepts related to improving the business environment through workshops and discussions.
