Muscat: Dr. Madiha bint Ahmed Al Shaibaniya, Minister of Education, met with Jamal bin Hassan Al Mousawi, Secretary-General of the National Museum, in the presence of Dr. Said Al Amri, Head of the Minister’s Office, Dr. Ali Al Shukaili, Director-General of the Directorate-General of Education in Muscat Governorate, Dr. Sheikha Al Shaabi, Assistant Director-General for Educational Affairs, and Thuraya Al Habsi, Headmaster of Jawharat Muscat Basic Education School in Seeb, at the General Diwan.
During the meeting, the original letter of Her Highness the Honourable Lady Assayida Ahd Abdullah Hamed Al Busaidi, Spouse of the Sultan of Oman, was handed over to Jamal bin Hassan Al Mousawi, which she had written during her visit to the Jawharat Muscat Basic Education School (5-6), on 17 October.
In the letter, Her Highness had reviewed the educational and teaching efforts, and met with the teaching staff and students at the school during the Omani Women’s Day celebration.
In her letter, Her Highness referred to the efforts made by the school to advance the educational process, and develop the skills and abilities of students, in addition to the school’s roles in spreading awareness, values, and good behaviour for all segments of society.
Her Highness also stressed the importance of improving the quality of education in the Sultanate of Oman, wishing the school success in achieving its goals in accordance with the vision of His Majesty the Sultan.
The Director-General of the Directorate-General of Education in Muscat Governorate said: “Jawharat Muscat Basic Education School was honoured by the visit of HH the Honourable Lady which is a motivation for the school, and the workers in the education sector in the governorates of Oman who will exert more effort to achieve the educational goals.”
The Headmaster of Jawharat Muscat Basic Education School stated: “Her Highness’ historic visit to the school coincided with the celebration of Omani Women’s Day. Her Highness’s visit shows her interest in education in the Sultanate of Oman. There is no doubt that this will be an incentive to exert more efforts to advance the educational process. Her speech in the dialogue session emphasised the importance of instilling values, customs, traditions, and Omani character in the youth.”
