Oman's Embassy in Thailand issues statement on motorcycle rentals

Muscat : The Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in Thailand has warned Omani citizens to refrain from renting motorcycles without an international driving license.

The embassy said in a statement :"The Embassy renews its warning to Omani citizens in the Kingdom of Thailand to refrain from renting motorcycles without holding an international driving license, and to fully adhere to wearing a protective helmet and local traffic laws, due to the increase in accidents. It also stresses the need to deal with officially licensed rental offices."

" In cases of emergency or need for assistance, please immediately contact the Tourist Police on 1155. Compliance with these instructions is essential to ensure your safety and avoid any legal accountability, " the statement added.
