Muscat: The activities of the second international exhibition for dates and honey, organised by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources in cooperation with Asaas Company, will start at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre on Sunday and will continue for several days.
The opening of the exhibition is sponsored by Dr. Saud bin Hamoud Al-Habsi, Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources.
The second edition of the International Dates and Honey Exhibition aims to provide an opportunity for producing companies, factories and export companies in the Gulf and Arab countries to display their date and honey products, expand the horizons of trade in the field of dates and honey, and introduce participating countries and exhibitors to the quality of dates and honey products in the Sultanate of Oman.
The exhibition also aims to open new horizons for investment in this field, increase the competitiveness of dates and honey, open new markets, develop production mechanisms and benefit from global expertise.
The exhibition seeks to showcase the latest developments in modern technology applications used in the field of dates and honey, including products, innovations, and quality systems at the level of industrial and commercial institutions and companies, and to learn about technological developments in the dates and honey industry and increase investment in the field of dates and honey.
A number of small and medium-sized commercial companies, institutions and entrepreneurs from inside and outside the Sultanate of Oman are participating in the exhibition.
It is noteworthy that the first session of the International Dates and Honey Exhibition was organised during the month of October of last year 2023, and 13 countries and 150 companies participated in its activities at the local and international levels, including honey and dates producing companies, packaging, packing, export and import companies, as well as food manufacturing companies for dates and honey products.
