Brussels: Sayyid Badr Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, took part in a business dinner hosted by European Union (EU) countries in honour of foreign ministers of GCC states, ahead of the first GCC-EU Summit, which begins on Wednesday in Brussels, Belgium.
The ministers discussed a number of topics on cooperation between the two groups and exchanged views on current issues, notably the military escalation in the Middle East region, the Palestinian cause and its central significance to the achievement of security, stability and peace based on international law and the Arab Peace Initiative.
The ministers also discussed developments in the conflict related to Ukraine and the need to pursue efforts to reach a ceasefire, abide by international law and accord attention to humanitarian and environmental aspects.
