Muscat : Due to the tropical condition, classes will be temporarily suspended and switched to remote learning in educational institutions, including government and private schools in various governorates of the Sultanate of Oman on Tuesday, October 15, 2024.
Oman News Agency (ONA), said in a statement :"Classes will be suspended tomorrow, Tuesday, and will be switched to distance learning in government and private schools in the governorates of Muscat, North Al Sharqiyah, South Al Sharqiyah, Al Wusta, South Al Batinah, North Al Batinah, and the mountainous parts of the Governorates of Al Dakhiliyah, Al Dhahirah, and Al Buraimi."
The Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation said in a statement :"Referring to the information received from the National Center for Early Warning of Multiple Hazards regarding heavy rains starting from the evening of Monday, October 14, 2024, and based on the directives, it has been decided to suspend study and switched to remote learning in these Governorates: Muscat, North Al Sharqiyah, South Al Sharqiyah, Al Wusta , South Al Batinah, North Al Batinah, Al Buraimi, and the mountainous parts of Al Dakhiliyah and Al Dhahirah Governorates. The Ministry would like to announce the suspension of study in educational institutions and the remote switch in the above-mentioned governorates tomorrow, Tuesday, October 15, 2024.”
