Ratan Tata, the chairman emeritus of Tata Sons, has passed away at the age of 86 on Wednesday, October 9, confirmed a statement by Tata Group. The former Tata Sons chairman has passed away in a hospital in Mumbai, where he was receiving treatment while in critical care.
Earlier it was reported that Ratan Tata, was in critical condition in intensive care at a Mumbai hospital, two sources with direct knowledge of the matter said on Wednesday.
Tata, 86, said on Monday he was undergoing routine medical investigations due to his age and related medical conditions.
