Egyptian embassy marks 6th of October anniversary

Muscat: Egypt’s Defence Attache in the Sultanate of Oman celebrated on Sunday the 6th of October anniversary by organising a reception at Grand Millennium–Muscat Hotel, under the patronage of the guest of honour Brigadier Yasser bin Khalifa Said Al Talabi in the presence of Khalid Radhi, the ambassador of to the Sultanate’

Mohammed Abdulmoneim, political advisor at the embassy of Egypt in Muscat; advisor Ahmed Shuaib deputy to the ambassador and Mana Dhiya the consul at the embassy attended the function.

The ceremony was also attended by a number of their highnesses, senior officers at the Sultan’s Armed Forces (SAF), diplomats and military attaches accredited to the Sultanate, members of the embassy of Egypt in Muscat and members of the Egyptian Community in Oman. In his speech, Captain Harb Mohmmed Jumah Ghali, the Egyptian Defence Attache , said that the 6th of October anniversary will remain vivid in the heart and mind of each Egyptian and Arab national and a source of pride for them.

He said that peace always requires power to protect it, which is why the Egyptian army has worked on the modernisation of all its units and corps coupled with training of its personnel to face any probable challenges.

Egypt has the rationale that enables it to use its power for the sake of justice and to stand by the side of brotherly and friendly countries regardless of any difficulties and challenges that may occur, he said.

The Egyptian- Omani relations are deep-rooted and dated back to over 3,500 years and witnesses remarkable developments at all spheres, he said, adding that the fruitful cooperation between the two countries reaffirms the strong ties between the Arab Republic of Egypt and the Sultanate of Oman, under the wise leadership of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
