Muscat: Oman Equestrian and Racing Federation has announced the results of the traditional horse sports competition / Al Ardha / for the seasons 2022/2023 and 2023/2024, among the competitions that the Federation is keen to organise annually. This came during the ceremony held today at the Oman Olympic Academy Hall, under the patronage of Sayyid Mundhir bin Saif Al Busaidi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Oman Equestrian and Racing Federation.
The results of the 2022/2023 season came with the crowning of the Wilayat of Jalan Bani Bu Ali in first place, the Wilayat of Bahla achieved second place, while the Wilayat of Al Kamil and Al Wafi obtained third place. As for the 2023/2024 season, the Wilayat of Al Qabil won first place, the Wilayat of Jalan Bani Bu Hassan came in second place, and the Wilayat of Bidiya came in third place.
Traditional horse sports (Al Ardha) are among the sports that are unique to the Sultanate of Oman and witness clear and obvious interest. The Oman Equestrian and Racing Federation embodies this interest by adopting the establishment of a number of Al Ardha running events in cooperation with equestrian clubs and committees in the governorates and wilayats of the Sultanate of Oman.
