Hamood bin Musbah Al Alawi appointed as Acting CEO of Oman Airports

MUSCAT: Oman Airports has appointed Hamood bin Musbah Al Alawi as the Acting CEO, following the departure of long-serving CEO, Sheikh Aimen bin Ahmed Al Hosni. The announcement was made via Oman Airports' official X handle on Sunday.

Al Alawi, who brings over 24 years of extensive experience across both the private and public sectors, is well-equipped to lead the company forward. His diverse background includes expertise in asset management, project management, and business development, both within Oman and abroad.

Before his new role, Al Alawi headed the Railway and Metro Unit at the Ministry of Transport, Communications, and Information Technology, where he oversaw key strategic projects. His appointment signals a new chapter for Oman Airports as it continues its mission of enhancing Oman's aviation infrastructure and services.

Oman Airports also expressed its gratitude to Sheikh Aimen bin Ahmed Al Hosni for his remarkable contributions during his tenure. Under his leadership, the company achieved significant milestones, both locally and internationally, positioning Oman Airports as a leading facility in the region.

In a statement shared on X, Oman Airports praised Sheikh Aimen's efforts: "He successfully guided the company towards remarkable accomplishments, enhancing operational standards, infrastructure development, and the overall traveler experience." Although stepping down as CEO, Sheikh Aimen will continue to play an influential role in Oman Airports as an advisor to the Chairman of the Board of Directors. His leadership has been instrumental in shaping the company’s corporate culture and driving sustainable success, ensuring a lasting impact on its future direction.
