Muscat: The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology on Sunday launched a “Governorates Ambassadors Digital Transition Initiative”. The ministry was represented in the project by the National Digital Transition Programme (Tahawul).
The initiative seeks to benefit from the elite in the field, national cadres, technicians and professionals who have the passion and skills in all governorates of the Sultanate of Oman.
The initiative seeks to raise public awareness about the use of smart and advanced digital services and solutions. It constitutes a step forward in the shift towards digital life, follow the best means to obtain government services and improve satisfaction among citizens.
The initiative also aims to highlight the latest technologies used in this field, with the aim of enabling community members to develop their skills in using modern digital practices like authentication, electronic signature, electronic payment and the use of smart applications and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, among other digital tools.
