Ibri: The Sultanate of Oman participated with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) in celebrating the 94th National Day of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on Monday.
The function was organised by the Secretariat General of the National Celebrations in cooperation with Royal Oman Police (ROP) at the Empty Quarter Border Post, which links Oman with the land borders of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The celebration reflects the brotherly and historic ties between the people of two countries and joint cooperation in various spheres.
The celebration included several sections, notably musical pieces played by the Royal Oman Police’s music wing and folk songs and performances by the folk troupes in Al Dhahirah Governorate and air shows and free jumping.
Dr. Mohammed Al Firaih Al Sharari, advisor at the Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Muscat expressed thanks for the government and the Omani people for organising the celebration.
He also pointed out the deep-rooted relations between the two countries.
The Empty Quarter Border Post is of vital economic significance for the two countries. as it plays a key role in boosting trade, the transport sector and logistics services.
The celebration was attended by a number of officials from the two sides.
