ROP arrests man for ‘faking robbery’ in Al Dakhiliyah

Muscat: The Royal Oman Police (ROP) has denied rumours about a robbery in the Wilayat of Bahla, Al Dakhiliyah Governorate and arrested the person for making and spreading the fake video on social media.

A statement issued online by ROP said :"There is no truth to what was circulated on social media about a robbery under duress taking place against a person while he was withdrawing money in Wadi Quriyat in the Wilayat of Bahla. The person in the clip was arrested and legal procedures are being completed against him."
