Employment in road projects reaches 166%

Muscat: The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology said that, by the end of the third quarter of 2024, it accomplished 166 percent of its targets in employment initiatives for road projects’ technical and specialised jobs.

During this period, the ministry provided 333 employment opportunities to Omanis in a number of companies operating in the road construction sector, compared to a target 200 jobs.

In the Logistics Sector, the Labour Market Regulatory Committee operates in accordance with specific objectives set for the ministry by Oman Vision 2040 Implementation Follow-up Unit.

It is worth noting that the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology monitors all companies to check their commitment to employment rates.

The ministry takes necessary action against companies that do not adhere to the specified employment rates. -ONA
