One arrested for blackmailing girl on social media in Al Dhahirah

Muscat: The Royal Oman Police (ROP) has arrested a person for blackmailing and threatening a girl via a social media application in Al Dhahirah Governorate. The individual is accused of using the app to extort money from the girl and make threats.

"Al Dhahirah Governorate Police Command arrests a person for blackmailing and threatening a girl via a social media application," ROP said in a statement. 

The ROP has stated that legal procedures are currently underway against the accused.
