Forum reviews ways of expanding job opportunities, upgrading skills

Muscat: Acting in cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation, the Ministry of Labour on Sunday organised a professional qualifications forum in Muscat.

The forum reviewed ways of expanding employment opportunities and upgrading methods.

During the forum, working papers presented by academics, officials and decision-makers highlighted pillars of sustainable education and means of guiding society towards embracing knowledge and competitive national capabilities.

The opening ceremony was held under the auspices of Sayyid Salim Musallam Al Busaidi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Labour for Human Resources Development.

Professional qualifications enhance job opportunities and reflect the keenness of the labour market on accommodating specific skills and knowledge that enable individuals to adapt to the challenges of modern times.

These qualifications constitute standards of their holders and a means for accessing global standards, skills, knowledge, specialisations that qualify them to professionally undertake any jobs or missions.
