Minerals Development Oman completes Geophysical Airborne Survey Project

Muscat: Minerals Development Oman (MDO) has successfully completed its Geophysical Airborne Survey Project, marking a pivotal achievement in the Sultanate of Oman’s mineral exploration efforts.

This project is a cornerstone of MDO's strategic plan to identify and evaluate mineral resources across its concession areas throughout Oman.

Over the course of 73 weeks, the survey meticulously logging a total of 2,550 flight hours to complete the survey, a total area of 16,000 square kilometers across seven mineral concessions across six governorates: Al Buraimi, North and South Al Batinah, South Al Sharqiyah, Al Dhahirah, and A’Dakhiliyah.

The airborne geophysical survey is part of the comprehensive exploration program implemented by MDO, alongside the geochemical surveys and exploratory drilling. The goal is to build a robust database of mineral resources to support the mining projects developed by the company.
