One arrested for promoting, trading counterfeit currency

Muscat: The Royal Oman Police (ROP) has successfully apprehended an Arab national who was involved in the promotion and trading of counterfeit foreign currency in Muscat Governorate. 

A statement issued online by ROP said :"Muscat Governorate Police Command arrests an Arab national for promoting and trading counterfeit foreign currency. The legal procedures are being completed against him."

 The ROP has advised everyone to exchange and cash currencies only through authorized institutions to safeguard themselves from potential fraud.
