Al Buraimi: Wasit Village is one of the main villages in Wadi Al Jizzi, in the wilayat of Al Buraimi.
The village is the eastern gateway of the wilayat of Al Buraimi and is located 50 kilometres from the centre of the wilayat.
Wasit village has tourism potentials due to its topography and heritage elements including agricultural lands with date palm trees and crops and natural scenes that attract visitors.

Sulaiman bin Ali Al Shamsi of Wasit village said that the village is located in an agricultural area and is known for its date palms which supports the local economy and meets the local needs of dates.
The village is also famous for crops and fodder for animals. Falaj Wasit area plays a key role in irrigation of farm crops, he added.
Humaid bin Rashed Al Zaidi, Director of Heritage and Tourism Department in Al Buraimi Governorate said that the village accommodates Wasit heritage site dated back to the second century BC.
The said site is also known for unique heritage pieces such as the stone tools, bronze arrow heads and bronze swords among other items, he said adding that the village accommodates five neighbourhoods. -
