Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman, through its Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, is set to host tourism companies from several European countries, including France, Germany, Italy, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Switzerland, Spain, and the Nordic countries. The event, titled "Hello Europe," kicks off tomorrow, Sunday, with the participation of over 70 European tourism companies.
This initiative is part of the Ministry's broader efforts to attract tourist groups from diverse foreign markets. The event aims to strengthen relationships and communication between Oman's local tourism sector and its European counterparts. Additionally, it seeks to promote Oman's tourism products, experiences, and hotel facilities, highlight key developments in the tourism sector, and explore ways to leverage these developments in support of the Ministry's goals to further develop and promote tourism in Oman.
Haitham bin Mohammed Al Ghassani, Director General of Tourism Promotion at the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, emphasised the importance of hosting European tourism companies. He noted that the event would introduce these companies to Oman's unique tourist attractions and heritage sites, providing a comprehensive understanding that will help promote Oman as a destination. Al Ghassani also described the event as a valuable opportunity to enhance cooperation with European markets, attract tourists, and facilitate the exchange of experiences and knowledge between Omani and European tourism companies.
The "Hello Europe" event is a key part of the Ministry's strategy to promote Oman as a global tourist destination. It aims to showcase the diversity of Omani tourism offerings to the European market and foster connections with international tourism companies. The event will also introduce participants to the latest developments in the Omani tourism sector and special promotional offers.
In addition to showcasing Oman's cultural and natural heritage, the event will feature several tourism experiences designed to deepen the connection between tourists and local communities. It will also include interactive sessions to identify the main needs and interests of international markets, discussions on developing tourism packages, and brainstorming sessions to find solutions for enhancing Oman's appeal as a tourist destination.
Visual presentations will further highlight Oman’s standing as a distinctive tourist destination for European travelers, showcasing the facilities, services, and offers that align with their preferences and interests.
