Oman announces team for World Cup qualifiers

Muscat: The national football team Czech, Jorslav Celavi, announced on Tuesday the list of the squad for the matches against Iraq and South Korea in the third stage of the Asian qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup.

The Red Warriors hope to reach the FIFA World Cup as they are drawn in a balanced Group B that includes South Korea, Iraq, Jordan, Palestine, and Kuwait.

Oman will begin their campaign in the Asian qualifiers with an away match against Iraq in Basra on September 5, before hosting South Korea in a key game on September 10.

The national team will meet Kuwait on October 10 in Muscat and it will be followed by Jordan clash on October 15 in Amman.

The concluding first leg matches will be against Palestine on November 14 and the second round of matches will begin after Oman host Iraq in Muscat on November 19 before traveling to Seoul to face South Korea on March 20, 2025, and then Kuwait on March 25, 2025.

The final group matches will be against Jordan in Muscat on June 5, 2025, and the concluding game against Palestine in an away match on June 10, 2025.

The team members are: Ibrahim Al Mukhaini, Faiz Al Rashidi, Ibrahim Al Rajhi, Ahmed Al Khamisi, Mohammed Al Musalami, Khalid Al Braiki, Ghanim Al Habashi, Ali Al Busaidi, Ahmed Al Kaabi, Abdul Aziz Al Shamousi, Amjad Al Harthi, Arshad Al Alawi, Harib Al Saadi, Abdullah Fawaz Salaah Al Yahyaei, Zahir Al Aghbari, Jameel Al Yahmadi, Omar Al Maliki, Sultan Al Marzouq, Nasser Al Rawahi, Essam Al-Subhi, Abdulrahman Al-Mushaifri, Muhsen Al-Ghassani, Mohammed Al Ghafri, Mohammed Hamed Al Ghafri.
