Muscat: On the occasion of the Independence Day of Pakistan, His Excellency, Imran Ali, Ambassador of Pakistan to the Sultanate of Oman, graced the flag hoisting ceremony held at Pakistan School Muscat.
The flag hoisting ceremony was attended by the Embassy officials, officials of the Pakistan Navy Ship YARMOOK currently on visit to Oman, Pakistani community and faculty members and parents.
The Ambassador of Pakistan felicitated the gathering on the occasion of Pakistan's Independence day and highlighted the importance of a free homeland, touching various aspects of the Pakistan Movement.
The Ambassador also awarded appreciation certificates to the brave Pakistanis who displayed exemplary courage in saving innocent lives during recent firing incident in Muscat.
In a statement, the Pakistan Ambassador to Oman, said, “On this auspicious occasion of 77th Independence Day of Pakistan, let me extend warm felicitations to all the Pakistanis residing in the Sultanate of Oman. This day also gives us the opportunity to renew our commitment to building a stronger and more prosperous Pakistan as envisioned by the Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.”
