Nizwa: The Department of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion in the Governorate of Al Dakhiliyah received 1,410 applications for registration of new commercial registrations during the first half of the current year 755 transactions of certificates of origin.
Hilal bin Bader Al Rashidi, Director of the Department of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion in the Governorate of Al Dakhiliyah said that 11 investment opportunities with a value of OMR61.4 million in the various fields of commerce, industry and food security, have been offered in the various wilayats of the Governorate of Al Dakhiliyah.
He said that these investment projects included the construction of a factory for power connectors, heating, ventilation and air conditioning plants, meat processing unis, ceramic factories, barricades factories, condensed milk factories, dairy products and juice factory and dates packing factory among others.
He said that the Governorate of Al Dakhiliyah accommodates many industrial cities that could host various investment projects.
He said that the applications for industrial licences processed amounted to 110 licences during the first half of the year, the foreign investment registrations amounted to 87 and the total registrations amounted to 674.
He said that Nizwa Industrial City and Sumail Industrial City recorded an increase in the number of localised projects which amounted to 173 projects in Nizwa Industrial City with investment value of OMR473 million while Sumail Industrial City attracted 160 projects with investment value of OMR160 million.
