Police control brawl, expats arrested in North Al Batinah

Muscat: A group of expatriates were arrested in Saham, North Al Batinah Governorate, following a violent brawl in a market that was captured on video. The Royal Oman Police (ROP) apprehended the individuals after a video clip circulated online, showing the confrontation unfold.

According to the ROP statement, "The North Al Batinah Governorate Police Command, with the support of the Special Tasks Police Unit in Saham, arrested a group of people of Asian nationalities after a video clip was circulated showing their involvement in a mass brawl in a market in the Wilayat of Saham, causing public disturbance."

The ROP confirmed that legal proceedings are currently underway against those involved in the brawl.
