Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik today met Keir Starmer, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom (UK) at the Cabinet’s headquarters in London.
During the meeting, His Majesty the Sultan reviewed the deep-rooted historical relations between the Sultanate of Oman and the United Kingdom, as well as means of consolidating areas of bilateral cooperation to serve the joint interests of the two countries' friendly peoples.
The two leaders also exchanged views about developments on the regional and international arenas and other matters of common concern.
The meeting was attended from the Omani side by Sayyid Badr Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, Dr. Hamad Said Al Aufi, Head of the Private Office and Badr Mohammed Al Mantheri, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
On the British side, the meeting was also attended by David Lammy, Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, Liane Saunders, Ambassador of the United Kingdom to the Sultanate of Oman and several other officials.
