One dead, four rescued from drowning in Seeb

Muscat: One person has died in a drowning incident while four others have been rescued by the Royal Oman Police (ROP).

A statement by the ROP said, "The Royal Oman Police dealt with a report of five citizens who were about to drown while swimming in the Al-Safinat area in the Wilayat of Seeb. Four of them survived, while the fifth was found dead."

The ROP further advised beachgoers to follow marine safety rules and exercise caution while swimming.
