Sayyid Badr receives phone call from PLO official

Muscat: Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Minister of Foreign Affairs, on Saturday received a phone call from Hussain Al Sheikh, Secretary of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization.

The two sides discussed the latest developments in the Arab movement on the international scene and in support of the Palestinian cause and its membership in the United Nations, and condemnation of the recent decision of the Israeli Knesset to prevent the establishment of the Palestinian state.

The two sides welcomed the results of the Beijing Declaration aimed at achieving unity of the Palestinian factions and affirming the unity of the Palestinian decision and the sovereignty of the Palestinian state over all its territories in the West Bank, Gaza Strip and East Jerusalem according to the 1967 borders and the complete withdrawal of Israeli forces from these territories.
