Customs officials seize alcoholic beverages, tobacco products in raids

Muscat: Oman Customs has raided a house in South Al Batinah Governorate and seized more than 2,200 bottles of alcoholic beverages. Customs also seized more than 2,300 kgs of tobacco derivatives in Muscat Governorate.

Oman Customs said in a statement :"The Compliance and Risk Assessment Department raided a house in Barka and seized 2,241 bottles of alcoholic beverages. In another location in Seeb, it raided a farm and seized more than 2,300 kilograms of tobacco derivatives. Legal measures are currently being taken against the accused."
