Entrance project to Nizwa nearly complete

Nizwa: Al Dakhiliyah Governorate is in the process of completing the final phase of Nizwa entrance project at a cost of over OMR 1.680 million and for a length of 3,500 metres for both the courses.

The project’s entry road extends from Firq Bridge to the traffic signals at Firq exchange. The project of development of the entry road to the Wilayat of Nizwa falls within the plan for development of the governorates and aimed to increase the landscaping works in the wilayat of Nizwa.

The project includes walkways, shades, sports area and green areas. Sheikh Hilal bin Said Al Hajri, Governor of Al Dakhiliyah, said that the project has been awarded to one of the local companies, which commenced works in July, last year. The project would contribute to the economic and tourism activity in the governorate and create a new space for entertainment, he added.

He said that the project includes landscaping works over an area of 23,000 sq. metres, 240 shade trees and 1,930 plants, walkways, cycling and sports area, parking lots, a modern irrigation system and a fountain among other services.
