Muscat: Muscat Governorate, in cooperation with the Oman Convention and Exhibition Center, will organise a media day on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, about the “Sports Spark” sporting event during the summer period.
The event will include a group of activities, surprises and exciting competitions which will begin on Thursday, at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Center, and will continue for a month until August 24, 2024.
The Media Day includes the participation of an elite group of media professionals from various local media bodies, radio and television. In the presence of several representatives from Muscat Governorate as the event’s organiser with the event’s strategic partners. It that aims primarily to present an innovative concept for the best utilization of summer sports that focuses on children, youth and families.
The media day will include an introduction to the event and its purposes for Muscat Governorate. As well as, visiting particular sites for activities. Media professionals will also be involved in the event by holding the event’s specialized version and enjoyable competitions. In addition, to involve them in the mini media tournament that will include various sports activities.
The “Sports Spark” event will give participants the opportunity to meet famous players and coaches. This contributes to open the way for ambitious competitors to exchange sports experiences and knowledge. This event is appropriate for all family members. It also is an ideal opportunity to interact and enjoy summer activities in an atmosphere of enjoyable fun and entertainment. The event will include the organization of a summer camp for children from 6 to 14 years old. It that combines fun and educational experiences from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. All facilities are available to the public from 2:00 pm to 12:00 am. Additionally, there will be two special days for women on August 3 and 17 during the event month.
It is noteworthy that Muscat Governorate pursues, through its organisation of the “Sports Spark” event, to stabilise effective partnership in the entertainment management sector with concerned authorities. In addition, to encourage local sporting tourism as an organized family destination under one roof that meets aspirations. The “Sport Spark” event is an implementation of the concept of health and physical fitness’s promotion, and encourage the sports’ practice between community members. Additionally, it offers an opportunity for the public to practice their favourite sports. The event includes various sporting activities and initiatives. These activities include football, badminton, basketball, table tennis, volleyball, ninja training, and other popular sports.
