Bangladesh students' protest: Foreign Ministry issues travel advisory for Omanis

Muscat: Given the security concern at the moment in the Republic of Bangladesh due to the anti-quota protests, the Sultanate of Oman’s Foreign Ministry has urged Omanis not to visit the country.

"In view of the current security situation in the Republic of Bangladesh, the Foreign Ministry would like to draw the attention of the honourable Omani citizens that it is not appropriate for them to visit during this period," the Ministry said in a statement.

" Citizens in Bangladeshi territory are requested to contact the embassy in Dhaka in emergency cases on the following numbers : +880 18 1124 1175, +880 16 0118 8566 , " the statement added.
