Muscat: His Eminence Sheikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al Khalili, Grand Mufti of the Sultanate of Oman has issued a statement regarding the brutal Zionist aggression against Yemen.
The Grand Mufti of the Sultanate of Oman said in a statement, "We were surprised by the brutal Zionist aggression against brotherly Yemen, and this requires all Muslims to support Yemen, as the nation of Islam is one nation, and aggression against any of them is aggression against all of them."
"This was only due to the position of the brothers in Yemen in supporting the truth and responding to the aggression of the aggressors against Islamic sanctities and the sanctity of the blood of our Palestinian brothers in the occupied land."
"Our deepest condolences to all the brothers in Yemen, to ourselves, and to the entire nation of Islam. May God cover the martyrs with His mercy and dwell them in His spacious gardens," His Eminence added.
Israeli warplanes struck the Houthi-controlled Yemeni port of Hodeidah on Saturday, killing three people and wounding more than 80.
"The toll of victims of the Israeli attack on Hodeidah has risen to three martyrs and 87 wounded," the Houthi-run Saba news agency said Sunday, citing the health ministry.
The strikes, which triggered a raging fire and plumes of black smoke, are the first claimed by Israel in the Arabian Peninsula's poorest country, about 2,000 kilometers away, analysts said.
