Muscat: With the participation of 32 people, the Environment Authority managed to extract a number of fishing nets, estimated at 180 meters in length.
Environment Authorty in the South Al Batinah Governorate organized the seventh campaign to clean coral reef environments in the Daymaniyat Islands Natural Reserve.
According to EA, the campaign was able to extract a number of fishing nets stuck in coral reefs, estimated at 180 meters in length.
“This campaign comes as a continuation of the expanded environmental campaigns carried out by the Authority to clean the marine environment and coral reefs, with the participation of the Department of Agricultural Wealth, Fisheries and Water Resources in the State of Barka, the Sea of Oman Diving Team, and the Al Dhahirah Amateur Team,” EA added.
