Malé: Ahmed Ali Al Rashdi, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, on Monday presented his credentials as Oman’s Non-Resident Ambassador to the Republic of Maldives. He submitted his credentials to Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, President of the Republic of Maldives.
The ambassador conveyed to Prsident Dr. Mohamed Muizzu the greetings of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, along with His Majesty the Sultan’s wishes of good health and happiness to the President. He also conveyed His Majesty the Sultan’s wishes of wellbeing to the people of Malidives.
The ambassador underlined Oman’s keenness to consolidate relations and expand cooperation with Maldives in all fields in a manner that serves the common interests of the two countries.
For his part, the President of Maldives asked the Ambassador to convey his sincere greetings to His Majesty the Sultan. He wished the Omani people further progress and prosperity under the wise leadership of His Majesty the Sultan.
The President welcomed the Omani Ambassador and wished him success in his duties. He hoped that bilateral relations would continue to grow and prosper.
Later the Omani ambassador held a meeting with Moosa Zamir, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Maldives. The meeting touched on ways to enhance bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
