Sayyid Badr makes phone call to UK Foreign Secretary

Muscat: Sayyid Badr Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister made a telephone call to David Lammy, UK Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, on Friday.

Sayyid Badr congratulated David Lammy on his appointment as Foreign Secretary, wishing him success, and further cooperation between the two countries.

The two ministers discussed the catastrophic humanitarian situation suffered by the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and the rest of the occupied Palestinian territories, and the necessity of achieving the international will for an immediate ceasefire, providing relief supplies, releasing prisoners and detainees, and returning to the path of comprehensive and permanent peace based on the two-state solution and recognition of the independent Palestinian state.
