His Majesty the Sultan receives phone call from King of Sweden

Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik today received a phone call from King Carl XVI Gustav of Sweden.

During the phone call, King Carl XVI Gustav expressed his deep thanks and appreciation to His Majesty the Sultan for the efforts made by the Sultanate of Oman to reach an understanding between Sweden and the Islamic Republic of Iran to release two Swedish citizens and repatriate them to their country.

The Swedish King valued Oman’s positive role through which it contributes to resolving many international issues.

The telephonic conversation touched on the advanced relations between Oman and Sweden. His Majesty the Sultan and King Carl XVI Gustav also exchanged views about the latest developments in regional events of common concern.
