CAA warns of poor horizontal visibility across Oman

Muscat: Surface wind activity is expected to cause dust storms, and decreased horizontal visibility, in desert and open areas, in addition to rise in temperatures, said the Civil aviation Authority (CAA).

Active southwest wind are expected over large areas of the South Al Sharqiyah, Al Wusta, and Dhofar governorates.

Some meteorological stations recorded wind speeds of up to 31 knots at Thumrait station, 28 knots at Al Duqm station, and 23 knots at Al Jazir station.

The Civil Aviation Authority added: "Please avoid exposure to direct sunlight, especially during the noon."
