This year's International Versailles Prize will be announced next November and is a tradition followed by UNESCO since 2015. The award consists of a series of architectural competitions focusing on the finest contemporary projects around the world and awards twenty-four international titles from among the selected sites In the airport categories, university campuses, passenger stations, stadiums, sports centres, museums, commercial centres, hotels and restaurants.

It is noteworthy that the building of the Oman Across Ages Museum emulates, in its innovative architectural design, inspiring scenes from the Omani nature. The design of the building was inspired by the Al Hajar mountain range, and the specific shape that dominates the stones, spaces and various elements in the building comes from the peaks of the towering mountains to match the sharp corners of the building.
