Ten Omani projects qualify for London science forum

Muscat: The Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation announced yesterday the names of those who qualified to participate in the 65th edition of the London International Youth Science Forum in 2024.

As many as 182 research projects were submitted for the competition, of which 25 projects were selected that met the conditions in the fields of science, technology, mathematics, and engineering.

The best ten projects were selected to represent the Sultanate of Oman at the forum, scheduled to be held during the period from 24 July to 7 August 2024.

The advanced research projects were evaluated by a jury consisting of a number of specialists from the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation, Sultan Qaboos University, the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority, and entrepreneurs.

The London International Youth Science Forum is held annually at Imperial College in London, and a large group of students in scientific disciplines from various countries of the world participate in it.
