Council of Ministers, State Council Office discuss integration among state institutions

Muscat: HH Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers, and several members of the Council of Ministers on Tuesday received Sheikh Abdulmalik bin Abdullah Al Khalili, Chairman of the State Council, and members of the State Council’s Office.

The meeting was held within the context of coordination between the Council of Ministers and the Council of Oman.

The two sides held an expanded meeting at the Council of Ministers building in the presence of ministers.

The meeting, held in line with the Basic Law of the State and the Law of the Council of Oman, was in pursuance of continuous coordination between all institutions of the state to formulate common visions on upgrading Oman’s comprehensive development.

At the outset of the meeting, HH Sayyid Fahd commended the State Council’s role in implementing the State’s general policies and rendering the best services to citizens.

He stressed that the government values all visions and proposals on developing public services and upgrading facilities.

During the meeting, it was agreed that all efforts should be combined to safeguard the national accomplishments and enable the State Council to continue conducting studies and proposals on all that advances the national action.

The Chairman and members of the State Council expressed their satisfaction at the meeting and the importance of topics and opinions exchanged by the two sides.

They affirmed that many of the common goals and approaches would be realised during the next stage of joint action.

The meeting discussed a number of topics, including means of consolidating integration between state institutions through the implementation of plans and programmes.

The two sides laid emphasis on promoting the mission of the ministerial coordination committee liaising between the Council of Ministers and the State Council for the realization of public aspirations.

They exchanged views about means of enhancing awareness and safeguarding the accomplishments made so far in Oman under the wise leadership.
